These artworks explore the human fascination towards enhanced human-power locomotion, from superhero fantasy, to private garage tinkering dreams, to excursions in whimsical human folly. In 1995, I received a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship (sculpture category) in recognition for this large, kinetic sculptural series of ten, unique human-powered machines.
